Edward Abrahams, Ph.D., is the President of the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC). Representing innovators, scientists, patients, providers, and payers, PMC promotes the understanding and adoption of personalized medicine concepts, services, and products for the benefit of patients and the health system. It has grown from its original 18 founding members in 2004 to more than 200 today.

Meghan Gutierrez is the Chief Executive Officer of the Lymphoma Research Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit organization devoted to funding lymphoma research and education, advancing both the study of new cancer therapies and improved patient care. In this role, Gutierrez represents the Foundation and the lymphoma community before numerous audiences, including the U.S. Congress, Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, pharmaceutical industry, and health insurance payers. She has written and lectured extensively about the needs of cancer patients and served on committees and panels of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Institute of Medicine, and National Cancer Institute, among others.

As President & CEO of OCRA, Moran heads the largest global charity for ovarian cancer research and advocacy, directing overall strategy, operations, and fundraising to promote progress and awareness, while hastening breakthroughs in ovarian cancer. Under Moran’s leadership, OCRA has awarded the most research funding in its history, passing the $100 million mark. Moran has overseen two mergers during her tenure, and continues to lead the expanded organization, with offices in New York City and Washington, DC. Moran has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of South Florida, and has worked in nonprofit organizations her entire career.

Barbara J. Gitlitz, MD, earned her MD from State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed fellowships in Hematology Oncology and Translational Investigation at UCLA, where she stayed on as an Assistant Professor. Her clinical-translational work at UCLA involved cancer immunotherapy, including one of the first trials of a Dendritic Cell Vaccine for kidney cancer patients. Later, joining Keck School of Medicine of USC as an Associate Professor, Dr. Gitlitz spearheaded USC’s oncology effort in both lung cancer and in head and neck cancers. She remains as Voluntary Faculty and attends a regular clinic with the Oncology Fellows at the Los Angeles County Hospital.

Geoffrey Oxnard, MD is a thoracic oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on improving the management of molecularly-defined subtypes of lung cancer through development of better biomarkers and targeted therapies.

Keith Winfrey, MD, Ph.D., has been with the New Orleans East Louisiana Community Health Center (NOELA CHC) since 2009 and is the current Chief Medical Officer. He’s an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. In 2002, he completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in preventive medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. He also holds a master’s degree in health system management from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Winfrey recently led NOELA Community Health Center from a 3% colorectal cancer screening rate in 2012 to 80% in 2018.

Leah Fine represents The Centers of Excellence Program, which makes high-quality lung-cancer care accessible to patients, regardless of geographic location, by bringing a standard of care to community hospitals comparable to that provided by large medical and academic centers. Since its start in 2014, the program has expanded to more than 25 centers in 14 states and currently serves more than 6,000 patients.
