American Society for Radiation Oncology
American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is the premier radiation oncology society in the world, with more than 10,000 members who are physicians, nurses, biologist, physicists, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and other health care professionals who specialize in treating patients with radiation therapies. These medical professionals, found at hospitals, cancer treatment centers, and academic research facilities around the globe, make up the radiation therapy treatment teams that are critical in the fight against cancer. Together, these teams treat more than 1 million cancer patients each year.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers comprehensive, credible, and reliable information on a range of health issues. In collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health, the CDC established the “Inside Knowledge: Get the Facts About Gynecologic Cancer” campaign to raise awareness of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian cancer.
Cancer Bridges supports those impacted by cancer through a variety of free social, emotional and informational programs and services. Our welcoming environment supports anyone who has been impacted by cancer including those with a diagnosis, those who have a loved one with cancer, or have experienced the loss of a loved one due to cancer. The diagnosed, family, friends and caregivers who support them are welcome to join Cancer Bridges to receive the services they need at no cost.

Founded in 1944, CancerCare is the leading national organization providing free, professional support services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer. Our comprehensive services include case management, counseling and support groups over the phone, online and in-person, educational workshops, publications and financial and co-payment assistance. All CancerCare services are provided by master’s-prepared oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts.
CSC San Francisco
Cancer Support Community San Francisco provides comprehensive care – including counseling, support groups, nutrition, exercise, and education – for cancer patients and their loved ones. All programs are provided free of charge and enable cancer patients to better partner with their treatment team to manage their treatment and recovery most effectively, increase their chances for survival, reduce their chances of recurrence, and provide for the highest possible quality of life.
