Lori Newcomb – Co-founder of Newk’s Cares and wife of Newk’s Eatery Co-founder and CEO, Chris Newcomb – was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2013. Her vision and dedication helped Newk’s raise critical research funds and invaluable awareness of the disease. To-date Newk’s Cares has raised more than $1,000,000 for ovarian cancer research.

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition
The mission of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer and to improve the quality of life for Survivors. Through national programs and local NOCC chapter initiatives, the NOCC’s goal is to educate communities and increase awareness about the symptoms of ovarian cancer. The NOCC also provides information to assist newly-diagnosed patients, hope to Survivors, and support to caregivers. The NOCC is also committed to the advancement of ovarian cancer research.
OCRFA (Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance) is a powerful voice for everyone touched by ovarian cancer. This organization connects survivors, women at risk, caregivers, and health care providers with the resources they need, and funds scientific research. As the largest global organization dedicated to advancing ovarian cancer research, OCRFA ensures that ovarian cancer is a priority for lawmakers and agencies throughout the country.

The Susan L. Burgert, MD Gynecologic Oncology Survivorship Program
A dynamic organization dedicated to supporting gynecologic cancer survivors, their caregivers, family, and friends. Through the generosity of a robust volunteer network, it now includes an awareness and fundraising race, educational conference, retreat for women with recurrence and their caregiver, and a support group for male caregivers, and touches more than 1,000 people annually.
